Below you will find testimonials from event attenders, spirit painters and others who I have worked with in the past.
“Michelle facilitated learning and development for all of our staff at Brant FACS in cultural safety and Indigenous worldview. Her wisdom and natural ability to tell a story were integral to our experience.
Michelle was sensitive to the needs of the group, thoughtful in her responses and created healthy spaces for people to share. We were so grateful to have Michelle lead us through this learning.” - Sarah Robertson Director of Service, Brant Family & Child Services
" I have had the pleasure to attend Michelle Thomas` workshops and teachings. All her workshops are done in kindness, compassion, but overall a profound knowledge that she shares in plain and beautiful language.
As a settler in Turtle Island, I thank Michelle for taking my hand and opening my heart to the possibility of true allyship. Her workshops are deep, touching, fun and caring. I cannot wait to attend the next one. I hope many more allies can attend these teachings. - Maria Antelo Community Development Coordinator Hamilton Community Legal Clinic
"The Grand River Community Health Centre (GRCHC) was successful in securing a one year grant to fund an Indigenous Cultural Safety training program in the Brantford area.
Michelle was hired to develop and coordinate this project. Her ability to communicate and work with compassion through challenging and sometimes painful topics created transformative results.
Michelle was very well organized and demonstrated an in-depth understanding of adult learning and human psychology. The materials and methodology she used to engage and educate were extremely well received. In fact, we continued to receive requests from the local hospital and other organizations for additional training. Michelle worked closely with a community project advisory and GRCHC staff and was seen as a leader and an expert in her field."
