How did Spirit Paintings Originate?

Spirit paintings originated about 15 years ago in the beginning of Michelle’s career as a Reiki Master. 

She enjoyed water colour painting as a hobby and found that it offered her a sense of release. 

She was free to “get lost” in the painting and just let herself go with the creativity.

She would leave it, put away the pieces, then come back to it and marvel at the intuitive connections she could make in the artwork. It seemed to answer many of her questions at the time.

Michelle decided to experiment further, by combining Reiki with painting. She calls them Spirit Paintings because doing Reiki (or any form of energy work) requires a connection to the person’s spirit. 

It is very intimate work. 

Rather than going into each person’s energy centres to do the work, Michelle simply sits with them, and allow them to channel their energy to her.

What Are Spirit Paintings?

Spirit Paintings are abstract pieces of art, usually done with a combination of charcoal and/or water colour paints. 

The unique qualities of Spirit Paintings are that each one is original as they are 100% based on the energy you are carrying during your session. 

As a trained Reiki Master, Michelle uses the skill of tuning into your energy. As a client, you relax, do some deep breathing and through your session you channel your energy to her. 

With your permission, she is then able to paint what is shown to her.

After your painting is complete, Michelle will go through a 15 minute interpretation with you. 

Although the paintings are abstract, each stroke and colour has a meaning to it. 

Michelle’s experiences with Spirit Paintings have shown her they are deeply personal and meaningful to the client. 

The messages have been a valuable source of insight. Some receive confirmation or validation on personal life circumstances. 

Others gain a deeper understanding of their overall purpose in life. The end result is a valuable tool for self-awareness and spiritual guidance.
